This is a book of an AU that's explained in the Intro and will be a bit jumpy. This also has some pregame bits in it but it's not quite the same and it's more t get the base idea that I'm going for. This will hold a few ships in it so please no ship hate. I will try and update consistently but no promises also feel free to use this AU as long as you don't claim it as your own.

Maki Harukawa, Known by many as the Ultimate Child Caregiver but that's a lie. She's really the Ultimate Assasin. When she's sent on a mission she meets a strange man... OK so, let's get this straight. This is an AU where Danganronpa doesn't happen but they still have their ultimates. Also, Kaito and Maki are in different classes. If Monokuma, Monomi, Shirokuma, Kurakuma or the Monokubs appear, they are humans. Maki Harukawa is a stoic and calculated assassin sent on a mission to kill the heroic and passionate Prince Kaito at the royal ball. Her mission seems to be going fine until the unknowing prince takes her hand and swoops in for a dance. While she somehow finds herself charmed by him, she also sees her entire career shattering before her. As this strange first encounter brings the two closer, they both start to feel their worlds turn upside down. Will Maki's stone-cold heart finally melt? How far will Prince Kaito go to protect the woman trying to murder him? (This story is loosely based on fanart by @/sarenaria on Instagram! Cover art is created by them as well!)

So this'll be a collection of oneshots from the same universe where the cast of trigger happy havoc, goodbye despair, killing harmony and ultra despair girls are students of UA. Junko is still there, but not despair-crazy like she usually is. Ships will be included and some oneshots are based around them and if you don't like a ship then just skip that chapter. There will be some characters from the despair arc so if you don't know who they are then it's probably that. Since this is an AU there are no spoilers for any of the games, or spoilers for BNHA. Just letting you know I have no upload schedule, and I spend hours trying to get things perfect so don't expect regular uploads. I'll put warnings of what to expect at the beginning of each chapter, but there's really just gonna be fluff, mild angst for flavour and just general insanity you'd expect from super-powered teenagers. :) Have a lovely day or night! ✨

Maki and Kaito both have feelings for one another, despite being polar opposites! But thanks to their differences, they have to rely on their best friends to help them each make a move!

Monokuma wanted to see fear in Kaito since he was the most positive one there. He decided he'd go for his phobia.
