A couple months ago, a new farmer moved to town, taking over the old farm. Then one day, Harvey receives several phone calls from the people of Pelican Town, who are concerned for the new farmer's health after they showed up to the saloon battered and bruised. So, doing what he does best, he grabs his gear and heads off to the farm to check on them.

Computer sounds could be heard from every angle, a few coughs and sniffs every now and then were heard. In one of the cubicles was a lanky man slouching in his seat as he stared at his computer screen. Is this really my life? He thought as he continued to stare, his eyes finally led to the drawer in his desk. Grandpa's letter, he didn't know this day would come so soon but maybe he needs to open his letter, maybe his life needed to change. -- heyy! so this is my first fanfic, i'm honestly writing this for fun and i don't really care if it doesn't get any attraction but if it does i'll appreciate it!. Just a little heads up, the farmer is a guy and his main love interest is shane. This story has mentions of depression, suicide, alcoholism, and dealing with grief. This story will most likely be a slow burn and obviously shane will be an asshole at first. The story will have mentions of the heart events of shane but most of the story will be slightly modified i'm sorry if that's not to your liking!
