Inosuke and Tanjiro had become life-long partners after the final battle, excited to start their peaceful life. 5 years pass and a tragic accident unfolds, Inosuke finds himself back on his mountain without any memories of life as a Demon Slayer. Inosuke decides it's time to revisit the past to recover who he was, and who those stupidly comforting red eyes belonged to. A young boy and girl, seemingly his sister, sat underneath the full moon. Speaking in hushed soft whispers they didn't notice the demon slayer behind them about to strike. What caused him not to strike was the kanji symbols in their eyes. Uppermoon 0, a myth, a legend, supposedly not true? But here they where, young enough to be around twelve and thirteen. Yet when they noticed they demon slayer. They didn't attack. Nor showed any fear. They did nothing but invite him to sit down with them.

In this particular What If:Tanjiro's ancestor, Sumiyoshi was the third brother of Michikatsu Tsugikuni and Yoriichi Tsugikuni, who hadnt become a demon slayer, Yoriichi in order to pass on his techniques to a kind and loving family teaches sun breathing to Sumiyoshi, his brother who had remained kind unlike Michikatsu who became a demon, as Yoriichi is a kind person and helped Michikatsu to develop moon breathing, to help pass on Michikatsu's technique too, teaches the moon breathing to Sumiyoshi, they pass on sun breathing as hinokami kagura, and by the birth of tanjuro, father of tanjiro, the tsugikuni name dies out and they adapt the kamado name, and they pass on the moon breathing in scrolls of kamado bloodline as a way to breathe that helps in using swords and fighting,

Y/N Hashibira lost her mother when she was young, and lost her brother 5 years ago, after the Final Selection, after trying to protect Inosuke from a strong demon. She always wears her Kitsune mask, because it would remind her of Inosuke wearing their "mother's" boar hide. She became a pillar after 7 months, and has been on the lookout for Inosuke ever since. (most photo's not mine)

Y/N had no one, she had run away from her village as it was attacked by ruthless demons. They had killed her mother, her friends, everyone. She sought revenge and became a demon slayer. She vowed to kill every last one. She always went alone, until she crossed paths with Zenitsu. None of the characters in this story are mine, based on the anime Kimetsu No Yaiba, or Demon Slayer. The events that happen in the anime do not correlate with the story. I changed a few parts.
