It doesn't help when he wakes up almost naked in another guy's house, let alone in another guy's bed. And to make matters worse, he can't help but fall for the outspoken and extremely attractive Madison who he'd drunkenly went home with and tried to screw. Finally, to add the cherry on top of the crap-tastic cake, Noah is forced to work with Madison for at least six months, or he'll lose his beloved soccer. Nothing could go wrong, right? A glimpse of the brutality of hate crime

This is a story about a boy with down syndrome, who joins the football team, is very smart, and despite all that, still gets bullied by the boy he is in love with. Thomas comes from Alaska, from which he transfers to Brider High School. Alex, the bully, is not on the football because he thinks that down syndrome is a disease that you can catch. While everyone on the football team does their very best to protect Thomas, they can't protect him when he is walking home, or at the store on Sunday, or watching the cheerleaders at practice. Some days, Alex corners Thomas, in which he can't help but blush, even if it's just a bit. And that boy...... Is me.

Hate crimes are so prevalent in our current society, the longer we stay silent, the longer these issues will continue to persist. We need to stand up and work to help stop these atrocious acts. This is an essay I did for my English class in May of 2019, hence why it does not cover any current issues. I could rant for hours about the injustice that has happened this year, but this essay just includes hate crimes I researched at that time.
