When Bethany was young, her parents and the rest of her family were slaughtered by McCoys. She was later found wandering in the woods screaming and crying, covered in the blood of her kin. The men that found her took pity on the poor girl and took her in, Ellison adopted her and raised her alongside the rest of the Hatfield boys around her age, (Jonse and Cap) and her new brother Cottontop. It's been two months since Josie and her brother, Russ, have returned home from their second trip to the past. While Russ is determined to never return, Josie's convinced she left her heart back in 1882. Moving forward in her modern life if tougher than ever; and in this final installment in the "Amendment" trilogy, Josie is going to have to make the ultimate decision. Will she make her fantasy a reality?

It was enough that Josie Sherwood had traveled back in time to 1882-to the middle of the infamous Hatfield and McCoy feud. How fair was it that she'd had to leave behind Cap Hatfield, the man she might just be falling in love with? Now, Josie has to go back again to save Cap. But it'll be tough convincing her brother, Russ, to go along with it after the disaster they'd caused their first trip back in time. [Book #2 of the short story, "Amendment"]

Maria Staton and William Hatfield butted head all the time. They never seem to get along but as the years go by they grow closer. Being constantly placed together it get harder to fight the attraction that grows between them.

Josie didn't even want to go to her brother's Civil War reeanctment--let alone dress up for it. But going to the bathroom while wearing a hoop skirt is the least of her worries. Somehow she and Russ get thrown back into time...which would be cool if it wasn't in 1882, and if they hadn't gotten separated on their trip back...and if Josie hadn't found herself in the middle of a feud. Now, stuck in the Hatfield household, she's got to find a way to get to her missing brother without offending the frightening Devil Anse or his suspicious uncle, Jim Vance. She's got five days to stay with the Hatfields before Election Day, an event she's told no one can miss. Maybe, just maybe, she'll be reunited with Russ. And maybe she would've gone home, too, if she hadn't found herself completely swoony over Cap Hatfield.

The feud between the Hatfield's & the McCoy's continues, & the world around them is moving forward as two Northerners take up residence in the area. There is something strange at work here, & Cap finds himself being dragged into a feud that is more dangerous than just a family grudge. A decision must be made about which path to walk, but can he leave Clarice behind? Cap/OC
