The whole village (Knuckles, Amy, Tails, and Sticks and the other villains) played a prank on Sonic by pretending to be the legendary Evening Reaper (a being that was said to take anyone to punish those who do harm). They wouldn't stop teasing him and scaring him with the Evening Reaper thing until one evening and that was the day things took a bad turn when the 'real' Evening Reaper showed up and took him. But nothing is as it seems.

Though they have met their fair share of castaways and seen more than their fair share of strange objects, no one was expecting to find something that qualified as both. A life-size porcelain doll. What was it doing in the middle of the Grand Line? What happened to the galley attendant whose bag was abadoned along side it? How much could Nami sell it for? Fair warning, I'm in this for the long haul, I've already got it semi-thought out through to the Sabaody Archipeligo Arc. (I stopped there cuz I'm too nervous about the time skip to keep watching. I'll finish when the fanfic catches up.) Some spoilers for the OC's personal arc, they're gonna be disabled, they're gonna be traumatized, and there's gonna be a lot of internal struggle with that. They'll also be queer, eventually, but it's probably gonna be the least traumatizing of their traits and it's gonna be a while before it really takes effect. Hard to self-reflect when people keep shooting at you.
