[Danny Mercer x Velma Dinkley]
𝐆𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬.
Danny Mercer learned that pretty fast.
After enough haunted mansions, abandoned amusement parks, creepy museums, fog-covered graveyards, and monsters that glowed a little too conveniently, he figured out the truth most people missed. Ghosts didn't leave grease stains. Phantoms didn't need hidden wires. And no real monster ever remembered to cover its footprints properly.
Fred had the plans.
Daphne had the charm.
Velma had the brains.
Shaggy and Scooby had the appetite, the panic, and somehow all the luck in the world.
Danny?
Danny kept the Mystery Machine running.
A mechanic's son with sharp eyes, steady hands, and a wrench usually close by, Danny Mercer was Mystery Inc.'s sixth member. The one who checked the trapdoors before anyone stepped on them. The one who noticed loose screws, fake walls, oil marks, snapped cables, and costumes that didn't move quite right.
But when the gang hits the road again, the mysteries start changing.
The masks are better.
The traps are nastier.
The people behind them are getting smarter.
And for the first time, Danny starts to wonder if being practical is enough when the whole world seems determined to get stranger.
Because there are some mysteries even a wrench can't fix.
And Velma Dinkley might be the only person clever enough to help him solve them.
