Being Wednesday Addams' daughter was never going to mean a normal life. But even Sera thinks being shipped off to Nevermore Academy-the infamous school for outcasts, seers, and things that go bump in the night-is pushing it.
The place is every bit as dreary as she hoped: shifting staircases, secret catacombs, a forest that hungers. Delightful.
Then a student turns up dead. And another. Each body is discovered in a grotesque tableau, echoing the legend of the Thirteenth Bell, a cursed relic said to toll only for the doomed. The murders are brutal, the suspects plentiful, and somehow Sera herself is everyone's favorite suspect.
Which, for the record, she finds flattering-though terribly inconvenient.
With her razor wit, her gift for shadows, and her refusal to play nicely, Sera begins to unravel the truth. But every clue pulls her closer to Nevermore's darkest secrets-and to a boy who may be more monster than man.
Murder, romance, and curses-Seraphine Addams wouldn't have it any other way.
