Painted Heart 2 follows the events after the breakup between Jo Soomin and Park Eunseok. Jo Soomin, who was previously Min Seolah, flies to California for a well-planned vacation, along with Han Jihyun, who was previously Joo Seokkyung. From that, they create a beautiful but illicit yuri love story. However, good moments don't last long when Việt Quang, who now appears as a spirit, always exists in Soomin's memory and her dream sequences, and so does Min Seolah's death. Although Soomin always think about Việt Quang, Jihyun still besides her and helps her move on for the better.
