Were Hope didn't have any friends, Faith was friends with the entire school. What happened to Hope really happened to Faith, but Hope decided she wanted to be the hero for once, so she snapped Faiths neck triggering her vampire side, and she jumped into malivore, leaving Landon and Faith at the top of the pit. Faith being the only person to remember her sister. It took Faith about 2 months to get control over her Vampire side, as she didn't want to face the truth for a few weeks.
