An introduction of poetry. These pieces of work are a journey. They represent the self discovery, hardships, and lessons I've learned in the last year or so. Hopefully, if anybody reads this, they'll see themselves in it, and will glean some sense of help, comfort, and direction from it. Through a love found, and a love lost... a love so pure and true, writing was the only thing that allowed me to survive. This book is a collection of the journey of my first love. A love that found me, broken and mangled, and helped to rise from the ashes. A love for a man who taught me what love is. He taught me tenderness and passion. This book if for him, the bravest of men and best of lovers. I hope you read and enjoy.

After Ellie ran away from her abusive husband to start a new life in another state. She swore up and down that she would never let another person into her heart, that was until she met him. A tall man with brown hair and hazel eyes. who listened to her and who cares for her.

This piece is very special to me and perhaps one of the pieces that I highly favor. When I wrote it I had dear friend in mind. I dedicate this to him. I was actually quite hesitant to upload it here on Wattpad but I decided to anyway. I could have added this piece to my other writing collections "Random Hats" but I believe it deserves it's own spotlight.
