"H PYLORI: THE ENEMY IN OUR CLANS" by Ellen W. Muturi is a powerful story about a silent, deadly bacteria that spreads through a family and community near Nairobi. What begins as simple stomach pain turns into a dangerous battle as more people fall ill. As the truth is revealed, the clan must face an invisible enemy that thrives in silence and ignorance. A gripping tale of disease, family, and survival, this story raises awareness about a hidden killer and the power of knowledge to fight it.

Her Mother's Diary A Daughter's Pain. A Nation's Wake-Up Call on Cervical Cancer. I didn't plan to become a health advocate. I didn't dream of writing a book. All I wanted... was more time with my mother. But when I lost her to cervical cancer-a preventable disease-everything changed. She didn't die because the illness was too strong. She died because the right information didn't reach her in time. This book is not just my story. It's my cry for awareness. It's every Nigerian woman who suffered in silence. It's every daughter who had to grow up without a mother. And it's for every family that could still be saved-if only someone spoke up. Through these chapters, I'll take you into our living room, into hospital waiting rooms, into my journal of grief and faith. But I won't leave you there. Because from the ashes of pain, I built SAY Healthcare. And from a mother's diary, I found a mission bigger than myself. If this touches you, read it. If it wakes you up, share it. If you're alive, then there's still something you can do.

As of this year, 2020 I am a first year medical student in a 5 year programme, after which I will recieve a Medical and Surgical Bachelors (MBChB) the South African equivalent of an MD (in the USA) or MBBS (in the UK). I want to begin this blog to record my journey through medical school so that I can remember all the good times. So that I can give people a peek into the world of what its like to be a medical student. To impart some of the knowledge and wisdom I have and gain through my experiences that might help other medical students and even the layperson. I'll have funny stories, sad stories, happy stories, interesting case studies and facts as well as some lessons in the human body and what its like being a doctor! I hope I can possibly carry this blog on into my post-graduate studies or even my life as an attending/consultant! I hope some people will actually find some enjoymemt out of this! God Bless you all!

Millions of people are affected by mental illness each year. Across the country, many people just like you work, perform, create, compete, laugh, love and inspire every day - the only difference is they are struggling on the inside. Now more than ever, it's important that we bring awareness to mental health issues, and acknowledge that it doesn't always look the same for each person. By gaining some understanding of mental illness, we can learn how to recognize it in others and offer the help and support they may need. Common Warning Signs of Mental Illness Diagnosing mental illness isn't a straightforward science. We can't test for it the same way we can test blood sugar levels for diabetes. Each condition has its own set of unique symptoms, though symptoms often overlap. Common signs and/or symptoms can include: Feeling very sad or withdrawn for more than two weeks Trying to harm or end one's life or making plans to do so Severe, out-of-control, risk-taking behavior that causes harm to self or others Sudden overwhelming fear for no reason, sometimes with a racing heart, physical discomfort or difficulty breathing Significant weight loss or gain Seeing, hearing or believing things that aren't real Excessive use of alcohol or drugs Drastic changes in mood, behavior, personality or sleeping habits Extreme difficulty concentrating or staying still Intense worries or fears that get in the way of daily activities
