Alaska made a vow that day, she would never love another man. But what about loving the same man? The same man that had left her at her most vulnerable, that had made her want to die rather than see him again? Could she handle it?

Thoughts are powerful, whether we admit it or not. These are some of my thoughts. Some are sad, some are happy, and some are just plain crazy.

Maya is a young girl who is in grade three. she goes through a lot and some people would say that its to much to deal with for a person. this young girl suffers everyday. Maya suffers from depression. Maya lives in a bad home. her mom is high most of the time and her dad is either past out or drunk. Maya has to deal with child abuse towards herself and her little brother. as young as Maya is she tries to take care of her little brother and protect them from they abusive parents. will Maya and her brother survive and get help. or will they lose the battle before help gets there. read to find out. this book is opening the eyes of people to a different perspective of domestic violence.

17 year old Toby Forrest has been deaf his whole life, it's always been a challenge for him. Toby goes to a regular school and only has one best friend who is also deaf. Toby loves his best friend, but he still feels alone. 17 year old Cora Hawking recently has just moved across the country. She doesn't know anyone in the new town.
