A simple, short story with a hopeful moral.

Just short stories that pop up in my head. I suck at writing full stories so this is what I'm doing from now on.

When one young girl starts a journal, she has no idea what she's just started. Through writing in it, she grows in her relationship with God and others around her, and shares some gems of advice for her fellow girls along the way.

Dakota Weinfield and Lilith Tarn, have an interesting friendship, one that may last an eternity. Only being best friends for three years since their freshman year, it feels like they've known each other since the day they were born. Despite their differences, one with the perfect family, perfect high school status with grades that are suffering, and the other who seems to be broken all the time with a passed father, but manages to stay on the honor roll. The practice room is dim and smells like rain. Carmen's smile wobbles as she untangles the same earphone cord again. Juun stands near, voice barely above a whisper. "You are so sunny. You do not have to be cheerful all the time. Open up to me." Carmen nods, a tear slipping free, and leans into the quiet of Juun's shoulder while the night keeps breathing outside.
