Young Pretzel has always known the life of a kittypet. Raised with a warm, soft bed and plenty of kittypet food. She's seen the forest looming beyond her housefolk's fence. She has been warned by her neighboring cat, Plushy, that venturing in the forest is dangerous due to the wild cats. These stories intrigued her, and made her long to venture into the wild.

Welcome to Mapleclan, the clan known for it's forest of Maple trees with a winding stream of cool, fresh water from the mountains. But however peaceful the clan may seem, a darkness is forming. It all started at sunset one evening near the stream border of Heatherclan and Mapleclan...

A new dawn has come in Forestclan,Heatherclan, Marshclan and Moorclan. Three new kits have been born into each clan but the main three are Sourkit,Twigkit and Maplekit, but the looming question is what choices will they all make?
