It has almost been a month after Five and his family returned to 2019, where they discover they have once again messed with the timeline and have been replaced with a newly formed team of powered individuals called the Sparrow Academy. After the realization sank in that the Umbrella Academy was now homeless, they temporarily lived with their secret sister, Heather Scott, for a few weeks before eventually disbanding and going their separate ways in this familiar but foreign world. Durning this time of change, the Temps Commission, now being run by Herb until a new board of directors is chosen, is forced to deal with cases of treason from surviving agents where loyal to the Handler and the old way of the company. During this time, all agents are recalled and briefcases are stored away until they can decided who is loyal, and who needs to be fired. This quick process will now take days after the computers and technology all over Temps Commission HQ go down for some mysterious reason, and no one can figure out how to get them back up and running. Five reluctantly travels to Sugar Land, a city located in Fort Bend Count within the Metropolitan area of Houston, Texas, 2010, on a mission from the his sister, sent by the Temps Commission, after he hears that an agent that didn't return to the Commission during the recall was now setting forth events that will lead to a world wide apocalyptic event, and Sugar Land city is the epicentre of it all. Humanity was due to end in eight days, can Five discover what will end the world in time without any help from the Commission, who can't operate any technology due to the computers going down, or will this be the one, and only, apocalypse he can't stop? Parts of this story lines up with Season 1 of The Umbrella Academy, the Netflix series, like the impending apocalypse and other events, but this story highlights the life and challenges of a young girl finding her way in the world after being kicked out, forgotten about, and neglected for her early childhood life and now entering the real world with strange people and a foreign lifestyle to her own. With no one helping her, her siblings forgetting her existence, and relying on her own wits to survive, can Heather help stop the apocalypse, or does she just make it worse?
