A Shaymin. A war. A clan to protect.

{Formerly "Heart of Steel, Spirit of Fire"} Tucked away behind the blooming flowers of Floaroma Town is Fuego Ironworks. Celosia Fuego has worked in the shop for almost as long as she could walk and talk. She had two close friends that she would do anything for, not to mention her team of loyal Pokémon. Due to her hardened exterior, she has a difficult time making new friends and isn't entirely adaptable to new situations. When a change occurs, turning her world upside down, Celosia sets out on a journey of self realization and growth. ~~~ Thank you for giving my story a look! Writing summaries is not my strongest skill, but hopefully the actual story will pique and keep your interest. It will probably be a little slow in the beginning, but hopefully it will become more exciting. This story will predominately be based in the game-verse, but may have some other elements in it as well. There will likely be creative liberties present. Although it takes place in Sinnoh, gen seven Pokémon will be present. Currently on hiatus. ~ Amazing cover by @Cora-chan ~

Pokémon Island. Nowadays, it's a tourist attraction. It's perfectly suited for everyone from all ages. One of the main attractions on the island is The Colloseum, where Pokémon tournaments are held daily. Once a year, there's a big festival on the island. A festival in honor of the island guardian, Heatran. 500 years ago, Heatran lived on this island. He had the power to control volcanoes. Arceus noticed Heatran's power and extracted some of it into a stone. The Magma Stone. The humans who were asked by Arceus to protect the stone were called the Magma Stone Protectors. Apparently, descendants of the protectors are still living on the island today. However, no one, besides the protectors themselves, knows who they are. Joshua Quartz. A 15 year old guy who's on the island for fun. There he meets Serena, a girl from the same age. Serena offers to be Joshua's guide throughout his stay on the island. A friendship emerges. But will they be just friends? Or is there more?
