After retrieving the memory for Sanlang, he puts the pieces together on what time he is in.He definitely isn't in his lifetime, but 800 years into the future! With more knowledge and with meeting Sanlang again in an alleyway, he realizes that Sanlang defiled him. Once calmed he agrees with Hua Cheng to gain his memory back, knowing he will have to relive all of those memories again- all of the love, pain, and hate. Once he awakes, he is upset with Hua Cheng for toying with him, Xie Lian rubs his temple with a light smile and chats with Hua Cheng before slipping into the crowd before him, leaving Hua Cheng stranded.
