Thanks to the status of his mother, the imperial concubine, Lu Chen's fate took a further swerve. The emperor, perhaps in a calculated act of kindness or a political gambit, granted him a matrimonial bond and then banished him to the desolate and frigid northern hinterlands as a prince. There, in that seemingly forsaken expanse, Lu Chen had all but resigned himself to a life of dwindling mediocrity and a slow fade into oblivion. But destiny had other designs. On the very night of his nuptials, a cryptic and potent system sprang to life, crackling with latent might and untapped potential. This remarkable system proffered a unique and beguiling pledge: for each heir he sired, Lu Chen would be inundated with lavish rewards and witness a meteoric ascent in his personal prowess and capabilities. Years rolled by, and the once-scorned and overlooked prince emerged from the northern mists, at the helm of a colossal army, a million strong, their banners fluttering in the wind as they marched with unwavering resolve towards the capital. The sight of this formidable force, led by the hitherto underestimated Lu Chen, sent shockwaves through the hearts and minds of all who beheld it. *I suck at summaries* The Fort Protz Military School is a school that teaches war. At the age of 10, every child in the Western Hegemony is put through a rigorous test. When they are 13 they find out if they made the cut. Those that don't either stay out of the military or attend a lesser military school. But if they are accepted they abandon their old life, their old name, their old family, and become part of the greatest legacy that the Western Hegemony has ever spawned. Indigo is a student under the command branch at the academy along with her best friend, Kennie, who studies under the combat branch. As a sophomore project, Indigo is teamed up with another command student and they are given two generals, one strategist, 2000 soldiers, and a hovercraft. They are told to stage a mock war with a military school from the Eastern Hegemony. Her command partner, Checkers, smells something fishy. He has their strategist, Ducky, look into the project and the students realize that things at the Fort Protz Military School aren't always what they seem.
