In the wrong place at the wrong time, Chizuru is taken in by the Shinsengumi as a prisoner of sorts, and she finds herself thrown into their lives... subsequently endangering her by connecting her with the assassins desperate to kill them. As time progresses, Chizuru will discover their terrible secret... the Furies. Tortured by their own thoughts, the men of the Shinsengumi wield their blades in defense of their faith and ideals, in an era torn apart by chaos. Haruki and Aoi are twin brother and sister, they both were orphans until they were around 9 years old. At the age 9 they lived in Edo, they also met Souji Okita and the three of them became friends. Isami Kondou also took the twins in. ..... Later on, Haruki along with her twin Aoi became apart of the Shinsengumi. Nobody besides Okita, Kondou, Sanan, Hijikata and Aoi know that Haruki is a female. Also Aoi is the captain of the shinsengumi's 13th devision, Haurki is the backup captain of the 13th devision. ..... Even though Chizuru joined the shinsengumi Haruki has not warmed up to her. .....
