I was vibing some Heith after S7 so here we go "Who's sunflower boy?" "A friend. You'll love him." It was more of a crush, but after enough time, I did love him. 🌻 Keith was bad at making friends. So he was skeptical when one of the few he did invited him to hang out with someone he didn't know. But Hunk was someone anyone would be bad at not making friends with. And he was perhaps even harder to not fall in love with.

When Keith's mom and Kolivan leave Earth to help other survivors, Keith is left pretty much forgotten by the rest of Voltron. Everyone is busy with their families, but what happens when everyone is able to be discharged from the hospital? Keith disappears out of sight, as if he fell off the face of Earth. Lance catches up with his family, Pidge and Matt boast to their parents about their adventures while Shiro takes his duties at the Garrison. But Hunk? Hunk spend his time attempting to find Keith.

Lance misses home. Keith doesn't like seeing him like this. He would do anything to make sure Lance gets to see them again. When Pidge finds a way to access Lance's YouTube channel from space, Lance shoots a livestream to see if his family sees it. Keith still wants Lance to see them and decides to take him back to earth himself. However, Keith is still dissatisfied with his and Lance's relationship. When they go back to space, he begins to become depressed. He may have gotten what he wanted- for Lance to see his family- but he still doesn't know what it is he wants.

The characters of the Voltron: Legendary Defender crew are shaken by how quickly things are changing, and how much they miss the home planet. This story shows glimpses at different moments through the timeline, starting around post-S4/5. Yes, there will be some hints at ships, and it's a work-in-progress so feedback is greatly appreciated!

So Keith hated his birthday with most of his heart. His father died on his 12th birthday in a fire while his mother left on his 8th birthday. He was in and out of foster homes until he was 15, that is how he found the Shirogane's. All the sadness he felt on this day eventually turned to hate and annoyance. Somehow meeting a dark meeting a dark skinned boy in the park might change that.
