According to Myth, the Trojan war was caused by the kidnapping of the most beautiful woman on earth, Helen. Her husband, Menelaus, and his power hungry brother, Agamemnon, sailed across the Aegean Sea to wage war against the Trojan and take Helen back to Sparta. But no one knows of the fierce and undying love between Helen and the god of war, Ares. So what happens when, 3000 years later, Helen is reincarnated by the Fates without Ares' knowledge? Will they be able to finally be together or will history repeat itself? Ares won't allow Helen to push him away again, but Helen can't accept him for two reasons. One, she is already betrothed to Markos - who is keeping her family captive until she says I do - and two, Ares was the one to kill her in one of her previous lives. How could she trust him? What will happen when Helen returns to New York to marry Markos knowing about her history with Ares, her once forgotten love for the god returning more and more with each passing day?

She's never loved someone more than she loved him, but with her parents' pressure for her to marry another, she caves. Even as the goddess of love, she would never cheat on a man, whether he be mortal or not. He's an unexplainable demon, something that should be left to his brother, the god of the underworld. When drinking can't cover up his love for her, he resorts to self-disdain. Not that he hasn't been doing that for all his immortal years. But the world isn't what it seems, and when a close ally is in need of help as well as a friend who has too many secrets to count, it brings the two together. The goddess of love and god of war getting along, who would've thought?

Beauty has always been deadly and paired with intelligence it is lethal. Helen is written in our books as the face that launched a thousand ships, but they don't know how close they were to the truth. Helen is beautiful, intelligent and ruthless, a little different than history would like us to believe.

My name is Ilysis. They say,in Greek myths, you can be reborn if you went to Elysium.I went there, now I'm here.I was Helen, princess of Sparta, daughter of Zeus, lover of Paris. Now I am Ilysis Green, twelve, dumb, not as beautiful. But I will manage. After all,I am Greek. They say I was Helen,so Helen I will be.But I am Helen as you never have known.Beauty is of no importance to me,because it is something I do not have.I am an Archer,a Sword-wielder,a Fighter.I stand for courage.I am Ilysis,I am Reborn. But all the same,I stand for love, just like the lady that I was.Know me,come with me,I am Helen,I am Ilysis,we two are one.Come the war,I fight as two. Hehe, how's my description, peeps? This is my first story.I hope you like it.I will probably finish it within the year. This story is a sort of mix with Greek,Roman and Celtic myths,so don't be surprised if you see Mars Ultor and Morrigan in one story. You might say it's kind of like Michael Scott's Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel and I did get a bit of the mix-in thing from there but I assure you that this story is entirely different.Once again,I hope you peeps enjoy it,it depicts Helen as a very different character and it also juggles two different personalities in one person.
