Gareth glared at him exasperatingly for a brief moment, before shrugging and mumbling a quick, "fine." He picked up his things, sauntering begrudgingly over to you, and tossing the things atop the desk so they'd slam. It earned a fair couple of snickers, and you just caved in on yourself as he threw himself down, spreading his legs and laying his right arm across the back of the chair. More giggled, and Mr. Widgers just let out a deep sigh, choosing to not comment and continue on. After a moment, Gareth turned towards you, a bit of both annoyance and hatred in his eyes. He scanned up and down you, before looking you right in the eyes and having the audacity to whisper, "since it seems as though we're gonna have to spend a lot of time together, I just thought you should know that I really, really hate cheerleaders." You blinked, taken aback, "excuse me?" "You heard me," he spat, smirking. He leaned in, fire and pride in his eyes, echoing, "you heard me." He then turned away from you, slumping back in his chair and pretending to focus back on Mr. Widgers. You did the same, now an awkward feeling in you. Stranger Things were happening in that city, the same stranger things that had been happening in her minds since she was a child. Her memories of her past and what had happened that day were hazy. He was the most famous freak in Hawkins, and he almost boasted about it. He just wanted to graduate, and find his purpose in the world. He knew that year would be his year. He didn't know why, but he felt it. And he was confirmed when a girl, a weird and lonely girl, arrived in Hawkins. She looked as a freak, just like him. But she was something more important than a stupid little freak. And Eddie would understand this after a while, the moment she whispered four simple words with the deepest meaning: I know the end.

This story takes place moments after Eddie and Chrissy enter his trailer in Stranger Things Season 4, Episode 1. In this case, Eddie knew exactly where the Special K was in his bedroom and immediately gave it to Chrissy who took it right then and there. From this point forward is what may have happened if Chrissy had lived instead of falling under Vecna's curse and being his first victim. We all witnessed the chemistry between Eddie and Chrissy in that scene in the woods and personally, I was curious as to what their relationship could have been. This is a story dedicated to a love that could have been.

A lot of angst probably. Eddie is in his last year of school, he is the leader of Hellfire, he's openly Gay and pronouns are He/Him. He lives with his uncle Wayne and doesn't go out much except for Hellfire and Corroded Coffin. Steve Is working at family video with Robin, he's unlabelled and pronouns are He/Him. He works a lot and hangs out with Dustin and the kids, and occasionally Nancy. Both Steve and Eddie find themselves going to the pep rally at Hawkins high and Dustin introduces them, while Steve is a little jealous of Eddie for being friends with Dustin he doesn't completely hate him, however Eddie, starts to develop a crush fairly quickly but is certain Steve is straight and uninterested It's kinda slow burn kinda not?
