In the year 2020, a virus spread across the world. This virus is called DVT-33. DVT-33 (aka the Devil's Touch) came out of nowhere and was hidden very well by the chinese government. Until it spread out of the country and killed off a tenth of the chinese population. When the virus first appeared, no one was concerned. "It's just another flu." "It's not that serious." That's what people would say. That was until people saw the real symptoms. It starts with flu-like symptoms. Fever, coughing, nausea. Then, your skin becomes ashy and gray, your eyes start burning, you're throwing up blood, you can't think or speak clearly. The whites of your eyes turn red while the iris goes a ghostly white. You look possessed, then you die within a week of the symptoms surfacing Once it left China, Devil's Touch spread like a wildfire. Countries got put under quarantine. People were dying left and right. No one was prepared. This was the worst illness anyone had ever seen. Then, it just vanished. Left as quickly as it came. Leaving a path of destruction in its wake. More than half the human population had been killed. Very few that were infected survived, but they weren't the same. No one knew when or if it would come back. Years past, and people forgot about DVT-33.
