They were never able to find out what they were but she raised them like humans, glad most people ignored their bizarre appearances. One summer, it was secretly decided they needed to find their own kind at some point. They sent Dipper and Mabel to the likeliest place they'd find others like them. Gravity Falls.

Ever since I could remember, my father was always in wars; barely coming home for a week after a war was over. He was stationed overseas more than anything. He would miss everything important, like being in the service was his excuse for not attending his parent's funeral or any of my birthdays or the adoption of my younger brother. The first book of my Steven Universe Fanfiction, about a gem who's time in the kindergarten came to a pause, and she was stuck in the walls for another several thousand years, before waking up in the world of earth. She meets new gems who were hiding amungts the mountains of the earth, and learns to controls her overpowered quartz abilities. I also drew my own cover. :)
