Henry has never been the type to go looking for trouble. Unfortunately, he doesn't really have to. Henry has been trapped inside a replica of his old studio, surrounded by horrific ink creatures. Most of which are trying to kill him. And have killed him. But... Henry can't seem to die. Or rather, he won't STAY dead. He always finds himself coming right back. The insanity of the ink doesn't seem to affect him the way it has affected the others. Henry just doesn't understand it.

This is a story telling the viewpoints of Henry Stein as he struggles to remember his past and slowly becoming more like the demon everyday

All he remembered was blinding light and indescribable pain. It felt like a thousand knives stabbing him, piercing on all that made him up. A burning pain that ripped away both his conscious mind and body. Leaving him in the more familiar darkness. Continuously falling with no end. He fell and fell and kept falling. And then he was back in the summoning room and heard HIS voice again. "Alright Joey, I'm here. Let's see if we can find what you wanted me to see."

Eyes blinked open, gold against the yellowed-out sepia of the studio in its drawn-out, animated form. Golden freckles smattered across soft cheeks under the dim lights like small star spots on a young face. Two ink-warped hands came up into Bonzy's view as they stared in wonder at their own smeared features. Which of course led to them pushing themself up into a sitting position using these very same hands, feeling like their skin was dipped in wax as they flexed the fingers of their right hand in front of their face again. Or, One Archgate maintenance worker, an Archgate Pictures animator, and a Joey Drew Studios animator from a few years ago are trying to deal with the plot holes of BATDR with a few extra sides of LORE, by diving deep into the hellscape known as The Studio. Meet new and old friends along the way! Also credit to @Star_Going_Supernova on AO3 for the Creator/Henry soul-split story idea. Tbh I didn't think I'd be posting this to anything

Charlie had once told his friend this when they were traversing Joey Drew Studios in a moment of quiet. He'd meant it when he said it, but Charlie realizes that it's not necessarily 'love' that powers his own motivation. Maybe Mr. Stein has his love for his toons under all that burden; maybe Bonzy loved Audrey enough to seek her out in Hell; maybe Sammy's love for his Lord is what hooked him to a willing death time and time again; maybe Susie's love for herself is what possessed her to throw away life so readily; maybe it was Allison's love for Tom that allowed her morality in control; hell, maybe it was Wilson's love for a future where he was worth something that drove him to be so despicable. Point was, Charlie needed to find motivation and fast - another enemy lurks in Joey Drew Studios and time is running out to escape the Cycle. Sixteen-year-old Peter has spent most of his life trying to find a job and somewhere to publish his stories to escape the Lower East Side slums of New York City. He works as a delivery boy for his Mom's boss. A job Peter thinks will be his last. But all that changes when a delivery job puts him face-to-face with Mister Joey Drew, the eccentric owner of an animation studio. Mister Drew takes Peter under his wing as a story writer, thrusting him into a world unlike Peter has ever seen before. There's the colourful cast of the studio, from the cranky yet driven composer Sammy Lawrence to Buddy, the studio gofer and Peter's neighbor. Working for Mister Drew, Peter starts to think that maybe it's really as simple as Mister Drew says: dreams do come true. But not everything is as picture-perfect as it seems... It has been three years since the hell of Joey Drew's Studios ended. Everyone got resurrected, some went insane, some were fine. Those who were willing, went back to work for the studio, and some weren't. Joey recreated the ink machine, only for the sole purpose of creating the main three cartoons. Allison Pendel, now known as Allison Conner, went back to the studio. Susie Campbell went back to the studio. Sammy Lawrence went back to the studio, only to spend time with Susie. While Henry "Stine" went missing after the time loop. But one day.....Henry returned, having burns all over his body. No one knows why he came back or what happened then. But, all they know is that he has been secretive than they remember.
