The Ghost crew has just heard of a planet called Earth and Sabine learned about the interesting game known as spin the bottle. Kanan wants to play because he might get a chance of kissing Hera. When Hera agrees to play it doesn't exactly work the way Kanan hoped it would. Did I mention Lando was there too.

Captain Kanan Jarrus is about to embark on one of the first manned interstellar missions outside the solar system, hoping to find evidence that humans are not alone in the universe. What he finds will change everything- including the fate of Earth. Status as of 5/16/20: on indefinite hiatus while I decide whether or not to turn this idea into an actual novel.

"The nearer the dawn the darker the night"- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Caleb Dume is preparing for the trials that will make him a Jedi Knight when he meets Hera Syndulla, one of the youngest-ever cadets to the Republic's peacekeeping Starfighter Corps. (No, this is NOT another "what if Order 66 never happened?" fic. It's actually more of a "What if Queen Amidala never called for a vote of No Confidence in Chancellor Valorum?" fic. While we can be certain that Palpatine would have continued with his- as I like to call it- sheevery, failing to manipulate the young Queen would have been a blow and a major setback to his nefarious machinations. Young and gifted Twi'lek pilot Hera Syndulla met former Jedi padawan Kanan Jarrus on Gorse, and the two quickly forged a dynamic partnership that eventually became the bedrock of the successful rebel cell/family known as the Spectres. They also fell in love. This fic begins right where "A New Dawn" ends. SPOILER WARNING: There are definitely some spoilers in here from several Star Wars novels, as well as the Kanan comics.
