"I want you to do villain work." William Banks had no desire to use his powers. As a matter of fact, his dream was to find a job as far away as possible from the drama and danger surrounding hero work: an accountant. However, to do so he must past his Proper Occasions Where Emergency Response is Substantiated, or P.O.W.E.R.S., course. Finding himself opposed to the essential premise of the course, William ends up losing hope of ever passing and filling his simple dream. That is until his course instructor offers a strange form of extra credit: in order to pass a course centered on the proper use of super powers, William has to become a villain. Inspired by the following writing prompt by Swinsetindecember (found on Pinterest, not sure on the original source): Where a grad student becomes a super villain for extra credit since their doctoral committee is low-key three of the city's super villains. And they meet the hero who is cute and charming and idealistic, and damn, extra credit is so not worth this, but damn, grad school is expensive and the job market is competitive.
