There's a most interesting segment of FQ's class. And that is learning a sentence or two (in Arabic) from the book from each lesson. Repeating it over and over again does help in getting you over the shyness or hesitation you feel with Arabic. Saying it out loud also has a direct effect on your heart. You actually start feeling it. Somehow, it's fun too. :P We learnt from our first lesson, كل من احب الله انس به ومن احب غير الله عذب به [Rough translation:] Whoever will love Allah, will feel affability (closeness) through it. And whoever will love (someone) other than Allah, will feel torture through it. Transliteration: kullu man ahabba-llaha anisa bihi wa man ahabba ghaira-llahi 'uzziba bihi Copied from the blog :- https://knowinghearts.wordpress.com/

Juniper Townsend died of carbon monoxide poisoning at the ripe, old age of 22. However, death isn't the end. In Limbo, she finds a foggy wasteland and strange creatures. She also discovers that during night hours, she can walk among the living. But there are rules. Never influence destiny. Never interfere, because the consequences are dire. Will she sacrifice eternal freedom to save the innocent?

Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart. "Difference Between Advising And Condemning" by Al-Haafidh Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali Al-Fudail (rahimahullaah) said, "The believer conceals (the sin of his brother) and advises (him), while the evildoer disgraces and condemns (him)." This is what Al-Fudail has mentioned as being from the signs of advising and condemning - and it is that advising is linked to secrecy while condemning is linked to publicizing. It used to be said, "Whosoever commands his brother (towards doing good) at the head of a gathering, then he has condemned him." Or it is something with this meaning.

Missed opportunities will surely be a source of great regret Not only in this very world, but also in the next Man will say, "Oh woe to me! Why on earth was I So careless in letting such good chances pass me by?" That will surely be the time when every deed will count And wealth, power, fame - such things, will be of no account

Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart. "What's So Special About This Number?" by Asma bint Shameem. Some of us seek barakah (blessing) from it by writing this number on the top of our letters, documents, exams, and job applications. Some of us write it on something and hang it in the car to 'protect' us from accidents. Some of us chose it as the number for our cell phones or for our license plates, thinking it is part of Islaam and we are getting rewards for doing so. But what is this 'magical, mystical' number that is supposed to bring you barakah and protection and 'good luck'???? They say it is the number "786". Why??

Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart. "The Real Miss Universe: Maryam Bint 'Imran" By Sadaf Farooqi And another one; another friend of mine recently named her baby girl "Maryam". I smile as I also reflect upon how many friends named "Maryam" I have. And why not, indeed? It is a name oft-mentioned in the Quran in a tremendously positive light, with a chapter/surah having it as its title. For women, for all time to come, Allah has mentioned Maryam Bint 'Imran, a pious woman from the Bani 'Israel, as a an example serving to be a beacon of light highlighting positive feminine characteristics and modest character for women till the end of time.

Quran For All - In Every Hand, In Every Heart. "Jannah: Just a wish or a Reality??" by Asma bint Shameem When Fir'aun found out that his wife Aasiyah believed in Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'ala, instead of in him, he was furious! How could she? He ordered his guards to beat her. They tied her hands and feet, and beat her mercilessly in the scorching desert heat. She turned to Allah and prayed, "My Lord, build for me a home with You in Jannah and save me from Fir'aun and his deeds and save me from the Zaalimun ( wrong-doers and disbelievers in Allaah)." (Surah at-Tahreem:11). That was her wish. To be in Jannah. And she got it. It is said that when she said this, the sky opened for her and she saw her home in Jannah. She smiled. Frustrated and angry, the guards picked up a huge rock to crush her completely. But before they could do that, Allah took her soul and she became an example for all the believing men and women until the end of time. Wishes, hopes and aspirations! Who doesn't have them?
