So this is my first post on this amazing book. Even though "Fiqh-ul-Quloob" has been a fascinating journey, so far (and it's just started!), sometimes you need a moment that just hits you and you cannot help but write about it. Muhammad Bin Ibrahim Bin Abdullah Al Tawaijiri seems to sum up the recipe for success in life in this sentence; Roughly translated, "The world is an abode for needs, whereas Paradise is the abode for desires, so we take from this world as much as our need, and we fulfill the commands of Allah as much as our strength allows, and Allah will fulfill our desires on the Day of Resurrection in Paradise, the abode of perfection of blessings." Dr. Tagatat Tejasen: "Laa Ilaahaa IllAllah Muhammad Rasool Allah!" This man is uttering the Islamic creed (Shahaadah) thus declaring that he is becoming a Muslim. This occurred during the Eighth Saudi Medical Conference which was convened in Riyadh. He is Professor Tejatat Tejasen, Chairman of the Department of Anatomy at Chiang Mai University in Thailand. He was previously the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the same university.

Rough translation: "And this world is like a shadow for the man. He cannot overtake (catch) it even if he walks the whole endless span of time for it. And Allah is done with the provisions of all creation and its types: in quantity and in quality... in time and in place... It will be neither increased nor decreased. So we should be content and take from it with the (right) lawful way. And we should not ask for Allah's disobedience." These lines are simply beautiful. The world has been described as a shadow. A guidance for Life. I assure you, if you follow them, no one can hurt you, nor will you ever be depressed, nor regret! Learn the truth about this world, the society, the rules and regulations. This Quran, when you believe in it , your belief will lead to a change in your life. The change is a good one, a righteous one, one that gives you contentment in life. Makes you fearless of people, and what will come to you in future. It will remove your burden of questions, skepticism, doubt. This Quran asks you to understand, pay heed to what it says, to reason with your self! Accepting Islam as the most realistic, truthful way of life will give you success in both worldly life and in the hereafter.

How it happened was nothing less than a miracle. And whoever played a part in it, is not hidden from Allah. May Allah reward everyone involved for their intentions, du'as and efforts in making this happen. And my special prayers for our beloved teacher: Dr. Farhat Hashmi (referred to as Ustadha, Arabic word for 'female teacher'). May Allah have Mercy on her, be pleased with her, forgive her her shortcomings, increase her ranks in Jannah, give us the opportunity to 'chill' with her in her personal garden in Jannah, and let us be a sadqah jariyah for her (as huge as possible). They should consider which book to fill and which scale is going to be heavier than the other and which angel they want to be busy .
