Grian is a troublesome hybrid parrot prince in the Jungle Kingdom, where it's just about time for him to be married, or at least have a romantic with someone else. However, after causing a considerable amount of damage to some of the farms in the Tundra Kingdom, he gets sent to be married off to Tango, their own hybrid prince, just finished his crowning ceremony. Oh yeah I drew the title picture myself but it looks kinda sad now that im looking at it- There might be bits that I forgot to put a TW on, with gore and maybe poison? Jimmy uses his left hand to tuck Tango's hair behind his ear, "I love you so much." Tango's tail thumps behind him, and now that the appendage has made its presence known, he wraps it around Jimmy's right wrist. "I love you too." The South was a land spoken of only in hushed voices. It was said its people were cultists; Devoted worshippers of beings that did not belong to their soil, nor their sky, nor even their world. Once every decade, without fail, the South offered tribute. Their youngest were sent away to be turned, bound into service for the unseen powers they claim to call Gods. Those between the ages of fifteen and sixteen were chosen. No exceptions. No mercy. Five were taken in their current generation: Grian, Jimmy, Martyn, BigB, and Pearl. They were told not to resist. Resistance, after all, always bore consequences. And so it proved. Only two of them managed to flee. Martyn and Jimmy. The others were not so fortunate. Grian was beaten into submission, his will shattered before he was forcefully turned. BigB and Pearl followed soon after, claiming the same cruel fate. Above them all loomed the higher beings; the Watchers-the one the South pleads loyalty to-and the Listeners. Ever-present. Ever-seeing. My first full story, this was supposed to be just angst based but I'm shit at writing just angst so there's also a lot of wholesome/fluff content mixed in, this is honestly just to make my brain happy ok- Tws/recurring story element's A lot of swearing Self sabotaging Intrusive thoughts Mentions of death(in a Minecraft sense) And just general bad mental health type stuff, Sensory overload/Over stimulation this will be updated in the future as chapters come out This is a fanfic inspired by "leave me be" a grian based fic by hollie_potatoes that I actually haven't finished reading yet, planning on doing that soon!! Might be mumscarian, if this is seen by one of the creators in this story and they are uncomfortable I can take it down, Yes scar is a very nice person to the hermits, full of jokes, puns, Amazing builds, he's been there sense season four after all yes? Though as the seasons go by, h6, h7, h8, now we're in h9, scars only recently realised sense h6 things have slowly gotten, harder, yes he's still happy goodtimewithscar, though when not around other hermits...or some times even while with hermits, it's just hard..not being able to sleep, social battery lowering faster, more self sabotaging type thoughts, and a few other things that have developed over the seasons that hes only noticed recently, he'll be fine, he has to be, for jellie, for everyone, ...right? This will also have some personal headcannons of mine, also because I haven't been able to watch scars full season 9 pov this is set early in the season! And because I adore the elven kingdom

The avian closes his eyes for a moment, not saying anything. Of course, he would go to the same school and class and now share a living space with the guy he made his enemy. "I'm Tango! Of the Tek variety, I think we will have a great year together." "Yippee." Jimmy cheers unenthusiastically under his breath and hides his head in his arms on his desk-their shared desk. Etho feels soft hands rest on his face, those same mossy hands he craves so bad. He inhales sharply, resting his forehead against his husbands. Bdubs hums, trailing his hands down Etho's arms, feeling where his hands meet. He smiles, closing his eyes. He rubs his thumbs against Ethos rough knuckles, guiding them up to his face, pressing soft kisses against them both, one at a time. He feels like he can breathe better now. He doesn't know why it was so hard to before- - Etho is sick and Bdubs is there, like always.

Mumbo is a hunter. That means his duty is to trap, hunt, and kill magical creatures throughout the kingdom. But one day, he finds something different. Something that eats away at his conscience, and makes him think: Was he really meant for this job? Grian is a shapeshifter. He has the ability to change at will between a dragon form and a human form. Being a magical creature, he keeps hidden away within the forest for his own safety, but one day he has a surprising encounter that would change his life. (Warnings -- mostly violence/gore -- at beginning of necessary chapters) (Word counts at the end of each chapter are for my ease, just ignore)

Grian just wanted to join in with the new game on the server. Just a shame parrots and cold weather don't merge well. Chapters will be shorter, maybe 500-800 words, because writing longer chapters usually slows my upload rate, and stops my motivation. I hope that's alright, and I hope you enjoy!
