This collection of recaps is based on a game I ran for my 6 year old nephew. A companion story to The Saulsyde Crate. Plot...? Spinney the Spider Slayer was a most heroic little leafy leshy and self proclaimed protector of Devon's Clearing and all it's inhabitants. Along with his sing-songy flower sister Lark and eager gourd-headed little brother Pepo, he protected this little corner of the world nestled nicely within Daycalm Forest. This started as one of my rant based short stories but I'm really starting to get attached to these characters, so I've decided to make it a full novella. Yay me. Read it if you want. Feline has a routine- and she hates being called Feline. She goes by her middle name Rita, and maintains a prestigious place among her high school social hierarchy. When the status quo is suddenly disrupted, Feline has to cope, and she does so with the most unlikely company. Enclosed you'll find a description of Feline and her fall from perceived grace, and into the embrace of organized chaos. Some of the dialogue in this story is in Afrikaans, so once I'm done with the narrative, I'll provide an addendum with translations or maybe I won't lol.

As a kid, I went on a long quiet adventure on Deep Blue Lake, then one day, I made a friend who I know one day will change my life.

Rostris lives in Foloi Oak Forest alone but grew up with Amposa, a woman centaur whenever her mother wasn't around. Rostris would hunt and train everyday with her bow and arrow with her pet Laelap, a Greek mythological dog who never failed to catch what she was hunting. Rostris was abandoned at birth by her mortal father so she has no idea who he is or his family. Her mother Artemis' side up in Mount Olympus never made contact with Rostris. So when Zeus, her grandfather decides to show up asking for help, she definitely didn't appreciate it. But, she ends up taking on the quest presented to her to hunt a dryad named Ekho. Dryads are female nymphs that inhabit forests and trees. Along the way with the help of Laelap and a runaway Titan, Rostris comes along life-threatening challenges like being close to Ekho but then missing her, dealing with Hera, Zeus's wife, that is trying to kill Ekho out of jealousy because Zeus likes to consort with nymphs and will stop at nothing to do it, and also being targeted by Ekho's daughter Lynx, who can make spells and will stop at nothing to kill Rostris. But what the real test is that is presented to Rostris is trust. Trusting herself and others because trust can go a long way.
