Born Quirkless in a world defined by superhuman ability, six-year-old Izuku Midoriya was supposed to be a blank slate. Instead, he was taken. In the dark laboratories of All For One, his empty genetic code was used as a canvas to splice together a highly volatile, conceptual Quirk: Mythos, a power that allowed him to embody the legendary figures of global mythology physically.
Rescued during a joint hero raid before the brainwashing could take root, Izuku is taken to the United States under the protective custody of the rising hero Star and Stripe (Cathleen Bate). Raised as her younger brother and stabilised by the innovative support gear of Melissa Shield, Izuku grows up far from his childhood nightmares, masking his trauma behind a relaxed, nonchalant, and fiercely confident demeanour.
Now, at fifteen, he returns to Japan to attend UA High under the hero name Odyssey.
But Izuku is no longer the nervous underdog his childhood peers remember. Walking with a carefree, hands-in-pockets elegance, he possesses a formidable, slightly overwhelming presence. Yet, his power is a double-edged sword: every myth he channels carries its own built-in tragedy, and All For One still views him as his runaway masterpiece. Alongside his classmates in Japan and with Melissa's support from across the ocean, Izuku must master the pantheon within him before his own creator comes to reclaim his perfect vessel.
