Years before Hyrule, a hero fought to protect the land and people which had been so cruel to him. He fought and defeated the demon king Demise. After the battle he remained on the ground after he raised his people to the sky. His life then expired, but the goddess Hylia came to him. She shed her divinity so that he may live again to protect the land that he loved, and so that she could fight beside him throughout eternity. This is the tail of his final struggle to save the land and to save himself.

The Doctor takes Amy to Hyrule...although they didn't expect it to be underwater...and they certainly didn't expect having to fight for their lives alongside a tiny boy in a green tunic! It is not my purpose, at this time, to write a novelization of the events of the Hero of Time's era in regards to Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask as I desire to press on from familiar grounds to less familiar grounds as opened to the imagination of all. This text captures simply my take on the life of the Hero of Time and the events pertaining to his life and fate. I intend to capture the events of the return of the Hero to Hyrule after his maddening adventure in Termina, Ganondorf's invasion of Hyrule, and the fall of the hero in becoming the 'shade'. For conciseness of the tale, in text, I reference my other post, 'Chronicles of a Legend' for suggested reading. However, you may not want to read too much as it contains spoilers, but it's up to you. This novelization also covers the events of the Hero's Shade which ties with the events of the Legend of Zelda's 'Twilight Princess' In regards to the War of Twilight, the text shall cover only that which pertains to the Hero of Time.

This is a collection of my Legend of Zelda original characters along with their origins, description of personalities, relationships to the other characters that are canon, and their pertinence to the Legend of Zelda plots. You are a Guardian Spirit of the Lost Woods that takes on the form of a kitsune. The Hero of Time is defeated in battle. As the once raging fires of war fade away, the wife of the beloved hero who travelled through time witnesses firsthand the destruction Ganondorf had caused. This time, after all of the hero's careful planning, the tide was in the hand of the King of Thieves. After his defeat and the destruction of Hyrule, Malon, the girl he'd promised the world, wanders the death streaked fields, broken, when a comforting wind dances around her, alongside a familiar tune being whistled in its gusts. Even in death, the Hero of Time deserves to be happy. After he teaches the Hero of Twilight, the new hero, all of his hidden skills, he laments no longer, and is reunited with the family he missed so much. A pair of oneshots surrounding the Hero of Time's death. May have future updates.
