A novel that displays both POVs of a romance that eventually emerges from a one-sided love. The story follows a girl and her traumatic childhood and home life, and a boy who secretly went through very similar things in the past. They are in the same friend group, but never really talk to each other, until the boy finds out what the girl is going through... She is able to put on a fake smile. Her smile fools everybody, except... A classic "he fell first and she felt harder scenario". TW: - Descriptive scenes regarding abuse. - Violent household. - Descriptions about self harm. - DEPRESSION, Suicidal Thoughts.
