Every Sunday, the family gathers around and reads passages from the bible, which of course lists homosexuality as an abomination. Despite these constant putdowns, Paarai somehow found the courage to tell her mother how she felt...only to earn a harsh scolding and further discrimination. But Paarai won't give up. She knows that she loves Sofia, and no beliefs can push away her feelings. At only sixteen years old, Paarai is forced to make a life-changing decision...her family or love?
