At the age of fourteen, Harriet Summers and Mathias Grigg were supposed to leave the Foundling Hospital to go into service or participate in the war. But none of that happened. Instead, they both moved to New York City in America where they would build up a life together.

I make a twist at the end of emerald star and it turns out that Hetty wants to stay with her foster family after all! She still questions whether her choice was right or not but is considerably cheered that she can still see her beloved foster family. Jem is very pleased and slowly begins to become more clingy and attached to Hetty once again. Was this really a good idea? Was it right to stay? Hetty has slight regrets and worries about her dear friend, Janet, not being able to marry Jem anymore. "Follow your heart, Hetty. Mama told me. And I did." Hetty starts to fall in love which Mathias . She pushes her feeling aside because Harriet and Mathias love eachother and does not want to hurt either of them. When she finally gets rid of matron Harriet has to go to New York to work for Lady Askquit. Mathias leaves to save up for a ticket to New York. But Hetty finds the ticket matron was going to use and give it to Mathias. She goes into serves at calendar hall and this is were the story begins.

This is a fanfiction to what happened after Hetty Feather and Diamond left the circus. Please note I started to write this way before Little Stars came out, and I haven't gotten the book yet. (I do not live in the UK so it's harder to get Jacqueline Wilson's books)

The idea for Raven's second name came from @Lottie4647 and this is purely because her story greatly inspired me to write this fanfic. Based off the CBBC adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson's wonderful novel Hetty Feather. All characters belong to Jacqueline Wilson or CBBC. I own only Raven and her plotline.
