What he didn't expect to meet was a new... friend? If you feel like reading a story that's very cute and romantic you've come to the right place. This book is extremely beautiful as in following a two characters who fall in love with each other. I'm usually not a big fan on these type of story, thinking they could get pretty cliché. After Hiccup decided to leave Berk with Toothless days before he was suppose to slay a dragon, he didn't know the chain of events that would happen. After a terrible disease had killed her parents, Stoick takes Astrid in as his replacement heir and when she's twenty year old she is engaged to a guy who she had never met. Unsure about the marriage to the mystery dude Astrid starts to have second thoughts. But when she is departing just a few days before the wedding, she is kidnapped by Drago Bludvist. What plans does Drago have for her? And who will save her?

Astrid Hofferson a new girl at school has experience the so-called 'love at first sight with this boy named Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third. Although, Hiccup like Astrid as a friend but he actually has feelings for Astrid deep inside. He's just blind to see it. He loves someone else then. Hiccup asked some love advice from Astrid. Astrid got sad at first but she let it go although she still likes him more than a friend. Hiccup successfully got his love but then he slowly has feelings for Astrid. What would he do now? Astrid comes to Berk with her tribe after they were almost wipped out by dragons seeking protection only to find Berk covered with dragons. Astrid refuses to stay on Berk, but with a bit of convincing from her childhood friend and the handsome young chief Hiccup, she agrees to stay. Eventually Astrid finds herself slowly falling in love with Hiccup as he shows her that the dragons she thought were monsters, were never creatures who brought terror and destruction but lifelong friends who will be at your side no matter what.

After the battle and Hiccup became chief, he thought he would finally get some rest. Not possible. A girl shows up, riding a Screaming Death, one of the untrainable dragons, during the dragon races. They try to follow her but lose her. He goes back home. He tells his mother about it and it turns out that the Greek gods exist. Not only that but he is a demigod. His father was a blessed by Jupiter and his mother is a daughter Athena. Him and the people in his academy start following the people on flying horses when they lost the girl again. Percy and his friends had just rescued a girl with a white dragon that she calls Laughter. She calls it a screaming death. They can tell why. She manages to escape before she is claimed and they go after her. It turns out that Nico has taken a liking to this mysterious girl. She flys over the ocean on her dragon so they follow on Pegasi. She opens a portal and they end up on an island. They follow the girl until they lose her. They see some more people on dragons following. Andra was a daughter of Poseidon and her mother a daughter of Nike. She was born on Berk and was a month old when her town was attacked by Whispering Deaths. Her mother was killed by an arrow that missed the dragon. A screaming death found and looked after Andra until she was able to ride a dragon. She was able to ride the screaming death and learnt how to speak dragon. She named it Laughter because it seemed to laugh a lot. She opened a portal and ended up in a camp. They tried to look after her and train her to fight. She already knew how and beat all of the campers. She then ran away with campers on flying horses and a horse that could run on water following her.

Ok this is just a random theory I have which explains why the HTTYD movies are pretty much NOTHING like the books.
