After a terrible disease had killed her parents, Stoick takes Astrid in as his replacement heir and when she's twenty year old she is engaged to a guy who she had never met. Unsure about the marriage to the mystery dude Astrid starts to have second thoughts. But when she is departing just a few days before the wedding, she is kidnapped by Drago Bludvist. What plans does Drago have for her? And who will save her?

A strange dream that young hiccup has causes him to wonder off into the woods. However, an encounter in this place has changed the way he thinks and causes him to question everything he was ever taught as a viking.

This book is extremely beautiful as in following a two characters who fall in love with each other. I'm usually not a big fan on these type of story, thinking they could get pretty cliché.
