It was inescapable. Every news channel had the story playing on repeat and throughout the school, all the teachers were broadcasting it live. Everyone was talking about it, but instead of mourning and remembering the lives of the victims, they dawned enthusiastic grins and laughed cheerfully. They rejoiced at the news. It was as if they were glad my parents were dead.
