A world that is overpopulated, the government decided to make a change to that. people needed to be eliminated. They decided to return the system 'The hiders and the seekers.' This system was made up around 20 years ago, when Violets dad was a hider, and got caught. On your pulse you either have a blue or red mark. Blue means hider, hide from the seekers. Red means seeker, Get as many hiders eliminated. If you do not eliminate hiders, you will be eliminated yourself.

When Wren and her classmates get washed up on a strange island after a shipwreck, her and the others are put to series of tests to see whether they will we able to leave. Will they all be able to pass the tests? Will they all survive? Or will death's hand take them all?

World is divided to 2 groups, blue and red. When you turn sixteen you get either blue or red dot. Blue means that you are a hider, red means that you are seeker. Seekers are trying to find and kill hiders, in the meantime hiders are trying to stay hidden. The problem is that nobody really knows what happens when seekers find you. If you are hider your dot disappears when you turn twenty five, and when you are seeker, your dot disappears at the age of thirty. After that you are safe, but what happens when everything turns terribly wrong and the government can't do anything about it?
