In which the Ultimate Linguist finds herself trapped in the Killing Game, and has to reckon with the idea that others might not be as predictable as she once thought. OR: If Akira Sakamoto understands anything, it's human communication. She knows how people's voices change when they're afraid, how they'll use certain tactics to drive conversations in a specific direction, and how their word choices can mean the difference between guilt and innocence, no matter how trivial they might seem. When Hope's Peak Academy doesn't turn out to be quite what she expected when she was invited to attend as their Ultimate Linguist, she should be perfectly equipped to survive and work with her classmates to uncover the truths of the mysteries surrounding their situation. Unfortunately, life in the killing game would never be that simple, and Akira finds herself faced with a group of people who rarely fit the patterns that she's become so familiar with. As she investigates murders committed by teenagers, participates in court cases mediated by a psychotic teddy bear, and interacts with her classmates (some of whom seem determined to remain unreadable), Akira is forced to reevaluate her worldview in order to survive and fight the mastermind. This is a thing so you can love Hifumi Yamada or if you just wanna meme. I actually like Hifumi he's kinda cute. Anyways, I will skip the trials and I will change the deaths and murders. Dewottgirl, MagicViolet, and Airi are new to Hope's Peak Academy. They meet and fall in love with three of the students. But, even Hope's Peak has drama, and these three have more than their share of it.

To clarify this AU is NOT of total drama characters in a killing game (though I am considering making that), this is of the Danganronpa Cast from any of the main three games (Sorry to despair girls fans, haven't finished it) competing on Total Drama. Chris McLean has been swapped out with Monokuma, but Chef is still here. While I considered adding Usami, I ultimately decided not too, sorry. I've seen a lot of people make their own versions of this, but all of them go unfinished, so I decided to throw my hat into the ring. Will this get finished? I guess you and me both will find out. Because in the end I decided that I want to try out new interactions between Chris and the students. I haven't quite put this away yet, just been busy and thinking about what to do next.
