Gods, supreme beings of immense power, often thought to be all knowing and all powerful. But little do people know, they are often just shadows of what they were portrayed to be. And yes, they do lose their way, quite often, in fact. Caught in a tricky situation between two gods who had been holding a grudge against each other for centuries, Steve has to dive into legends, history and lies in order to find the truth. In a world that the very concepts of right and wrong, good and evil were incredibly blurred, this ordinary Minecrafter faces unknown forces that were at work, and for him, the stakes were higher than he had known in his entire life. The ancient rulers of the world was stirring, and Steve would be caught in between them if they decided to show up. Let's say, he wouldn't fancy meeting them. "Come on now, those so called gods are just superpowered beings. They have fallen, they lose their way, make mistakes, and they aren't necessarily all knowing. So to say, true gods don't even exist in this world." This is a standalone Minecraft short story, with zero connection with the others. I don't own Minecraft and those Minecraftian characters.

Based on the title, our protagonist can raise all his base status willingly, with such ability, comes great responsibility. God has given Leo the responsibility of protecting a world, if this world falls, Leo will never die, but suffer eternally. That is why Leo looked for loopholes in their contract, which Leo found that he could ask God to give him the ability to raise his status as he desire. As overpowered as that may sound, there are still stronger foes that could rival Leo, and potentially become stronger than him even without the ability to raise its status. The universe is vast, Leo is the only one capable of protecting his world and prevent eternal suffering.

You wouldn't figure that as you cross the thin barrier between life and death, you can choose a do-over. You know, trial number two. Nobody would think of that possibility, would you? 'Course not. It's unheard of. It's always been Heaven or Hell. Blessed or not. Sleep peacefully or roam the world forever. Insert whatever other analogy here. Anyways, I hadn't thought of that either. But it's a thing. That's why I'm here. Why I'm... Walking. Talking. Breathing. Not drowned. Crazy, I know. But it wasn't easy. It wasn't just, "oh look I'm back alive even though they checked my pulse two fucking days ago and I was dead," no its not easy at all. You've got to fight for it. And quick.
