At Amada High School, where competition is fierce and legends are made, six determined athletes come together to form a volleyball team like no other. Aki, Marshal, Tobi, Drew, Ethan, and Clive-each with their own dreams, struggles, and strengths-stand united under the name "Kokorogi" (心戯), meaning "Heart of the Game."

Ichibayashi was just a speck in Japan's vast volleyball scene. Hailing from Fukuoka, they lacked the prestige of the region's powerhouse teams and had never reached Nationals. No more than a recreational club. That is, until a coach with a sharp eye for talent spotted them at a local tournament.

Allison Field has made it to grade 11, possibly the most important year of both highschool and club volleyball. With her goal of playing D1 NCAA volleyball, she has to play her absolute best this year if she wants to get scouted. But when a new student enrolls at her school and then joins the same club as her, will she be able to focus on her grades and game? Especially when this student aggravates her like no one else and is slightly on the cute side? Will she be able to nagivate the conflicts between her goals and a possible budding romance?
