This story follows the life of Spectre, the eldest member of the Brotherhood of Guardians, from his childhood to the future. Raised beneath the shadow of a father who was not what he seemed, forged through brutality, and altered by The Dark Legion, Spectre grows into one of the longest-living Guardians in history. Spectre's tale begins in a quiet village in Downunda, in the year 3064, when his father Tobor rises to the role of Guardian. Angel Island is recovering from civil war between the Echidna High Council and the Dingo Regime. Citizens of Angel Island have evacuated to the mainland or placed in Pocket Zones. The cities and villages have been leveled and radiation levels are dangerously high from nuclear fallout. As the Echidna race still reels from the war on the floating island, the Dark Legion plots their attack on the land below. These events take place in Knuckles the Echidna and Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series published by Archie. All characters and concepts belong to their respective creators.
