It's very terrifying for him because even though they knew each other like the back of their hands Kaoru wasn't sure what type of reaction Hikaru would have towards his love for him...this love that is beyond brotherly. Hikaru and Kaoru were separated at birth, due to a family feud. Hikaru lived with his father, Kaoru with his mother, with them never knowing their twin.
