Probably the heat. Because Hikaru wasn't taking in a single word. His eyes were somewhere else. Locked onto the side of Yoshiki's neck, where the sweat had gathered again, glinting just beneath the curve of his jaw. "You know," Hikaru said suddenly, "Your neck looks kinda beautiful right now." Genuinely was just feeling the urge to write again, it's been quite a while and, you know what they say, best take the opportunity whilst it strikes. There isn't any specific plot setting for this, Hikaru and Yoshiki hang out, feelings are raw, this'll hurt.

Yoshiki went missing. Which made, of course, his family and, importantly, his best friend Hikaru worried, but when they found him, something was off with Yoshiki.
