Kisah ini mengisahkan dua pasangan suami isteri yang mendirikan rumah tangga mereka untuk melepaskan diri dari belenggu keluarga. Namun, mereka menjalani kehidupan berumah tangga dengan bahagia. Selama dua tahun, Hilman tidak pernah melafazkan kata cinta terhadap Habibati, begitu juga Habibati. Sehingga suatu hari Habibati terlihat Hilman berjalan dengan kekasihnya, Suzani.
