Friends is set in New York City. How I Met Your Mother is set in New York City. It isn't beyond the realms of fantasy that these two sets of friends might meet. Their stories intertwine just after the finale of Friends and when Ted still has a wife [gulp]. And it starts with Rachel. Of course it does.

How I Met Your Mother was a very popular TV Series about a man, Ted, who tells his kids about his journey to meeting their mother, Tracy. Several stories that he claims to all be important in his journey to meeting their mother. Several years after her death, Ted tells his kids another story about their mother. Most of his stories about their mother rarely actually included their mother, but this one does, well sort of. (This is for a school assignment. Trying to get the most likes and comments for extra credit.)
