Warning: spoilers for Danganronpa2 game After waking up from neo world program Hajime and four other survivors of the killing game decided to stay on the island in hope their friends woke up. It seems like everyone's slowly showing signs of life, but there seems to be some complications with Komaeda. Hajime might be the only one who can save him out of his death-like state. There's a plot twist at the end. If anything doesn't make sense, it will at the end, when all the dots will be connected. I actually made quite a mistery here. I wonder if you could figure it out before, but I doubt it, since the clues are really hard to spot. I tried to make characters appear as realistic as possible. I don't know if I succided, so please tell me in the comments what you think. Also, it includes fluff, angst, depression, trauma and mental illness. Also, this is my first fan fiction, so don't go too hard on me.

Hajime and nagito are regular super high school level students that attend hope's peak academy together. Hajime had been friends with komaeda every since he arrived at hope's peak so he decided to stay by his side. Hinata notices his feelings towards komaeda and often daydreams about him. One day, hajime decides to confess to komaeda.

But Hinata had to move away once they were around eleven, leaving Komaeda and himself in a deep depression. Hajime accidentally forgets about the other, until they coincidentally meet at Hope's Peak. Hinata still doesn't quite remember the other, but, he feels as though the other is much too familiar, while Nagito remembers him clearly and tries to help Hajime remember. Nagito Komaeda is a mute boy. He's been mute his entire life, and fins himself to dream of what it would be like to speak, and being envious of those who do speak. Without any parents or legal guardians to adopt him or such, he lives at a hospital near his school. There, he has a few friends. Although, each day, a butterfly tends to come and visit his hospital bedroom window, an odd occurrence, to put it in simplest terms. Alongside this, Hajime Hinata is what people would call a normal boy. His life usually was nothing to write home about, and he was at least able to realize that. He hardly had any friends, the count only being two, and he usually felt a longing. A longing for a more unique and special life, something that would contrast from the rest of it all. As if to grant his simple wish, a butterfly is usual to turn up by his own bedroom window every day, checking up on him like some worried mother.
