~ It is better to look back upon a life on the brink of falling and tumble defiantly knowing all had been tried to make the fall pleasant, than to hesitantly trip over what could have been done to salvage peace of mind ~
Fleeter is dying. There's no solution, no way of masking the truth with artificial hope, Fleeter is dying, and there's nothing anyone can do. But more lies behind the greying, illness-ridden cat than his comfortable family and quaint garden swathed in moonlight, a repertoire of memories replayed when best suited. It is upon the knowledge of his imminent departure that the cogs began to turn for Fleeter, and in a last attempt to salvage meaningfulness and worth in him, he lets the wheels of the past guide him forward one last time.
Hindsight is a funny thing.
