Hinduism isn't a religion for God, but a way of life, so everyone is actually a Hindu if one tries to live a health lifestyle, Although it's literal meaning is not the same. Indians aren't actually Hindus, they are merely Sanātanis. Sanātana means eternal and Dharma is somewhat truth. It's about Eternal truth. You don't need to be a Hindu or require to apply tikka, go to temples, wear unstitched clothes etc to apply Sanātana Dharma principles in life. Even Indians don't have the correct knowledge of the ideologies they believe. Believe me, I don't try to ruin your sentiments, I won't let you feel offended at all, because that's one of the principles of Sanātana Dharma.
